Foxing released a new track off their upcoming album, "Dealer" (out this fall.) The new track is titled "The Magdalene" and you can listen here. Foxing told NPR that: "I was raised in Catholic school [which] imposed a very difficult stance on the freedom of sexuality," frontman Conor Murphy tells NPR. "When I lost my virginity, I felt like it was less about love and more about sin. I have really never let go of or dealt with that guilt, which made it dark to write about. I think of 'The Magdalene' as a retrospective diary entry after losing my virginity." The track is a beautiful retrospective, and if you like it make sure to check out the album in late October and Foxing on tour in November (along with TWIABP.) Also look at Foxing's Facebook for updates, tour dates, and hopefully more new music soon. Note: photo from this great write-up
Chance the Rapper released a new track on Soundcloud featuring Noname Gypsy, You can listen to the super mellow song here, and you won't be disappointed. Chance and Noname never fail to impress. The track can be downloaded for free off the Soundcloud page as well if you're interested, Note- Photo from Pitchfork
A new Lil B x Chance the Rapper mixtape was released 8/5 and it even features Noname Gypsy (a personal favorite from Chance the Rapper's Lost.) Listen here now for six new tracks of very based freestyle music.
I found Lolawolf last year through Zoë Kravitz (daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet, and actress in movies like “Divergent,” “Mad Max: Fury Road,” and “Dope”). Kravitz, along with fellow bandmates Jimmy Giannopoulos and James Levy, released their debut album “Calm Down” last October. Lolawolf is the kind of breezy cool-girl music you listen to when you’re driving around late at night with your friends. I would even call them the xx of R&B, with a similar sound to the band, only with more R&B. Some of my favorite songs by Lolawolf are “Every Fucking Day,” “Jimmy Franco (feat. A$AP Rocky),” and “Bitch” (the music video for “Bitch” even features Miley Cyrus.) You can check out Lolawolf’s Soundcloud, Twitter, Facebook, and even Tumblr, where they announce their tour dates. NOTE: All images were taken from Lolawolf’s Facebook page, and are certainly not our own (we aren't that cool... lower your expectations)
