Smoothie Season By Susan McLean

As summer comes to a close, smoothie season is still in full force (then again, does it ever really end?) Lately my blender and I have been playing around with some fun combinations and here's what I've been loving:

1. Honey Dew-Nana
[ 1 banana
1/2 can pineapple or 1/2 a fresh pineapple
1/4 Honey Dew melon
1 mango 
1 sprig of basil *optional*]

2. Go Green
[ 2 generous handfuls of spring mix greens
1 banana
2 mangoes 
2 sprigs of tarragon ]

3. I Wish I Was In Aruba
[ 1/2 a pineapple
1 orange
1 mango
1/2 cup shredded fresh coconut
1/4 cup flax seeds
2 tbs lemon juice
1 tsp lime juice ]

Feel free to add or switch out anything you like and leave a comment with your favorite smoothie recipe.
